Drink From the Bottle
By Jeff Rolfzen & Rocky Steen-Rolfzen
I’ve seen the great railways I’ve seen the great plains
I’ve seen the great cities from East to The West
And in all their great splendor they just can’t compare
To a room full of strangers their drinks in the air
Drink from the bottle or drink from the glass
Be it water whiskey or wine
Raise up your elbows to all who are here
For we may never gather again
I’ve had a few lovers they’ve all gone away
I’ve had a few friendships I’ve seen them decay
Through the joy and the sorrow they just can’t compare
To a room full of strangers their drinks in the air
Drink from the bottle or drink from the glass
Be it water whiskey or wine
Raise up your elbows to all who are here
For we may never gather again
The road may be rocky it twists and it turns
But through all its misfortunes are lessons we’ve learned
You can think it all over alone or somewhere
In a room full of strangers their drinks in the air
Drink from the bottle or drink from the glass
Be it water whiskey or wine
Raise up your elbows to all who are here
For we may never gather again
Raise up your elbows to all who are here
For we may never gather again
