Well I’ve been so ungrateful yet true

Turning you off with these ways that I use

And we’ve been so caught up with these blues

Promises made with the ways that we choose

So now we live in blue and now only blue will do

Because we’re tired of waking each morning still waiting for a change in blue

We’re lost in blue

And you could go to the sea I know I know you seek the water

Could you lay down and be still, stay still?

Or you could cut to the front of the line I know you are a warrior

Trying to understand your mind

And could cut to the chase open these seams

untie everything that binds you to me?

And let go now

So do carry on at your pace

I’ll be right here with the sun on my face

And as you set out with the wind

Do carry on consciously my reckless friend

And so we do what we do

And for now what we do will do

Because we’re tired of making these words that keep breaking

Our hearts in two

And locked in blue

And if I go to the sea I know I’d be an aimless wanderer

Trying to be still and stay still

So I must stay on this land I know right now that I’m a warrior

Trying to understand this guilt

And I could cut to the chase open these seams

Untie everything that binds you to me

And let go now
